Disaster Relief Trip to New Orleans

From John, New Orleans:

Upon entering New Orleans we saw despondent 6 year old Nicolas sitting on the curb beside all the flood debris. We stopped to talk with him. He explained what he had experienced as Hurricane Katrina roared through and shook his house. We prayed with him to receive Jesus and left him with a poster called, “Heavenly Helper,” and a coloring book; we also prayed with him for Jesus to protect and supply for him and his family.

Glen, a good friend of ours turned his restaurant and banquet hall into a free relief cafeteria for the police and military that are helping in the disaster. He serves roughly 2,000 relief workers each day. Being severely understaffed, he asked (begged) us to help him for a few days till things got under control. His restaurant “Le Maison Creole” now has the reputation as being the best spot to get a delicious hot meal. His savory meals have raised the morale of the police and military greatly.

Kirsty Alley along with John Travolta have been working in the New Orleans area to supply the great need of tetanus shots, and are encouraging all relief workers to get them. Kirsty Alley heard how tasty our food was and stopped by to sample some of our mouth-watering grilled tuna.

Glen, the owner leads the way by being the first to get his tetanus shot.
